Winnning the war does not demand forced and ungly mobilization. Winning the war is about supporting the cause and motivating people to fight. Corruption, disgusting violations of human rights, abuse of power, and what seems to be a beneficial prolongation of the war, has killed any motivation. Stories like this happen all over Ukraine. In Kyiv, police and conscription officers handcuffed a young guy to a fence like an criminal. Before that — they pepper-sprayed him in the face, twisted his arms, and dragged him across the grass. When local women tried to help him, the police used force against them too. This looks like the state kidnapping its own citizens with extra brutality. Treating your own citizens like hunted prey — spraying gas, chaining them to fences, beating women who show basic human solidarity — strips away all dignity. A government that resorts to such medieval savagery against its people has lost the moral right to call them "defenders." Real defense doesn't begin with terrorizing the population. When your "protection" looks exactly like abuse, maybe the real threat isn't only outside the borders. Inhumane!
