If I begin a sentence with the word “it,” more often than you’d think, my iPhone will autocorrect to “Ithaca.” Despite the fact that I’ve never lived in that city or talked about it at all. I’m desperate for suggestions of how to remedy this.
Because whatever I do, my iPhone seems almost theologically convinced that ¡tha¢a (a city I’ve never been to, never talked about going to, and never set a story in) comes up in conversation far more often than literally the word “it.”
I’ve even added a specific text replacement shortcut (“It” = “It”) to absolutely no avail. I’d wipe my iOS dictionary except that, again, Ith**a is not a place that I’ve talked about. Thoughts?
Help me out. Feel like I’ve seen this dozens of times. A character is doing something intense. War. Running. About to play a song. And the sound drops out or gets muffled to leave just their breathing. Can ANYONE think of some specific examples of this device?
