We saw Michigan vs Indiana in Ann Arbor the year before Dusty May got hired. They stunk and nobody in town seemed to care (except @ryanlemond when the free t-shirts came out).

On this day in 1997, Derek Anderson, after not having played since tearing his ACL in January, Derek comes in cold off the bench and hits two clutch technical free throws in Kentucky's 78-69 win over Minnesota at the Final Four in Indianapolis to send the Wildcats to its second of three straight NCAA title games. "It was a piece of cake," Anderson said after.

@SethDavisHoops As soon as it was caught in bounds it was over. No need to make any pass. They had to foul if you just hold the ball. And once the 2nd pass was made, he was by himself, just hold it there and time expires. Crazy.

Yes, Cayden Boozer should not have attempted the pass. But the problem was more in the execution than the decision. Duke had two players downcourt and well past the defense. All he has to do is get it past the defenders and it's game over. And it still took a 35 footer for UConn to win. The thrill of victory, the agony of defeat.
