Sometimes God writes stories we could never script.
Humbled to share a glimpse of my journey this Arab American Heritage Month with the lovely @gracesredman on Real Talk.
May the stories among us break down walls, and build more bridges♥️ @KPIXtv

Guess what?
When it comes to the remake of any John Hughes movie.
Our opinions are irrelevant.
If it’s in the self interest of the estate to have them remade and unless he specifically put it in his will that they are not to be remade … that’s what’s happening. #Remake

In response to homeowner concerns, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Altadena Station has launched a free Construction Check Program, to provide regular courtesy checks to help prevent theft, vandalism, and trespassing during the rebuilding process.
What the checks include:
• Increased patrols in construction areas
• Inspections for unlocked doors or windows
• Checks for signs of forced entry or suspicious activity
• Immediate follow-up if concerns are found
Why it matters:
Rebuilding can leave homes unattended and vulnerable. This program adds an extra layer of protection and peace of mind while residents focus on recovery.
How to sign up:
Email altadenahomecheck@lasd.org with your name, address, and a valid callback number. Please include whether construction is active, as well as the Construction Company name/phone number.
Together, this effort helps create a safer, stronger Altadena as the community continues to rebuild. Let’s always remember the importance of “See Something, Say Something” and support our neighbors, friends, and communities.
Thank you @ABC7 for interviewing Altadena Captain Ethan Marquez and highlighting the new program.

In the last 16 hours or so, I've been reading, and have watched, many tributes, reactions, statements and expressions, online, about someone who suddenly is no longer here. The impact of that is far and wide.
And it's thanks to the internet, we were able to enjoy their body of work which will resonate for years to come, even still.
But a good number of what I've read and watched, I have felt quite embarrassed for some of these folks.
Semi-vulturistic is what comes to mind.
How could they make a tragedy... all about them. I'm talking about those whose interactions, if at all, were extremely limited with the person. But it's the pull and urge to intensely personalize it about them. Like when one gives a eulogy and talks mostly about themselves, instead of the departed.
What's even more difficult to watch, is actually seeing those who have done secondary videos, in addition to their initial reactions, and basically have it almost exactly the same, verbatim, and almost forcing the emotional display.
Don't get me started about the AI generated vids and content; a lot of that is in the same vein however - monetization value, or what they think they can get from it. That's the state of the current times now with society, especially with entertainment and attention grabbing headlines.
They gave and gave with their body of work and we watched them grow, expand and entertain while also educating all of us. That's what we take from that of what he provided.
To take any more than that, even now, well... to each their own, I suppose.
Still doesn't make it right, no matter how you present it. Views, likes, clicks and clout chasing... is all very fleeting.

Sad news for loyal @knxnews listeners, and radio as a whole ― @LarryVanNuys posted this evening that "Food News" legend, Melinda Lee, has passed away.
Though her show ended 10 years ago, she maintained and streamlined her website for all to still enjoy ― melindalee.com. Melinda was also a long time spokesperson for Aldik Home.
Earlier this year she sadly lost her home in the Altadena fire, but continued her persevering spirit.
"Food News" was simply the best; Melinda was even far greater and she will be terribly missed...

Today, we bid farewell to Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness, at his Birmingham funeral. His 2003 duet “Changes” with Kelly, a heartfelt UK #1 hit, captured their deep bond with lyrics like “I lost the best friend I ever had.” Rest easy Ozzy 🖤
