It was a joy to be one of the @RM_Radiotherapy radiographers invited to @Elekta yesterday evening to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the 1st digital linac - the SL series. The first unit was shipped to @royal marsdenNHSSutton in 1984.

We need to start normalising single people eating in cafes ! Me sitting on my own is just as allowed as the family of 3. Just had that family complain to waitress because I’m sitting on my own at an inside table while they arrive after me and have to sit outside as no space.

@Whiffenpuff I’ve embraced 50 wholeheartedly. Amazing that you’re mortgage-free. I didn’t even get myself organised enough to buy a flat!

I’m 50 early October 😭 I’m not happy about it…. I had a friend who said you need to earn £50k and have £50k in savings by the time you reach 50. I’m a little short on both.. 🥴 In my defence I’ve paid my mortgage off & and have no debts. Apart from that it’s all a bit shit
