Can there ever be a Splatoon discussion about something other than politics and sexuality? Is there really nothing else to talk about?

It’s true, every halfway intelligent right winger I know irl had a massive conflict with at least one elementary teacher over things like: reading ahead, reading too difficult books, not showing enough work, etc etc. it’s the first time we experience the uncaring tyranny of state bureaucracy and it sucks.

The Kyoto Aquarium in Japan keeps a wall-sized flowchart tracking the romantic relationships, breakups, and drama between their penguins. They update it every year. Red hearts mean couples. Blue broken hearts mean it’s over. Purple lines with question marks mean it’s complicated. Yellow means friendship. Green means enemies. One female penguin reportedly ended six relationships in a single year. The comment under her photo, translated from Japanese, described her as “basically demonic.” Another penguin was caught dating someone 17 years older who also turned out to be their great aunt. And penguins who get broken up with sometimes refuse to eat. Apparently the staff say wing-flapping means flirting, grooming each other means it’s official, and if a penguin steals another penguin’s egg… well, it’s exactly what it looks like.

Some people who have previously hated me a few years ago and called me transphobic have dmed me to say "I was cooking" back then But they cannot be on my side publicly or even interact/follow me because their friend group is so knee deep in this ideology

You can only have the one on the right when you refuse to allow disorder When you have chaos, and anarchy, and entropy, you have to have the one on the left to keep anything even remotely functional But if order is maintained, as it used to be, then you can have beauty, and things that aren’t geared towards keeping the most antisocial elements away from them most of the time
