@OffshoreJoe @JoeCunninghamSC It doesn’t bring exposure into the community. Everyone is entitled to feel safe and walk in and around their own neighborhoods. Allowing people on the beach requires parking in close proximity to homes or children’s yards - exponentially increasing exposure risk.

@JoeCunninghamSC Residents were out walking, riding bikes all over IOP & SI streets & bike paths last week. Workers were everywhere. Why is that ok and not walking or sitting on the beaches? Just as they resist letting residents back on after hurricanes, they don't want to let go of control now

This is the right call. Local municipalities should be the ones making this decision and they should have the ability to do whatever is necessary to keep their residents safe.
