Random thought: what are some common misconceptions players & coaches have about defense in lacrosse? A few that always get me are: 1) Don't cross your feet 2) You have to "turn" players at GLE I think the spirit of these have some truth, but they often get misinterpreted.

@laxcolumbus Wow. That’s wild. I cannot for sure say that at any point in my athletic career I was able to run a sub six mile. Nor did I ever run a continuous mile in any sport I ever played.

Hearing that a local HS who needs every player they can get has told the kids you fail the 6min mile you’re ✂️… Let’s not let this be true!!!

@RyanFlanagan24 Don’t mind going over the head there. Help was literally right next to him and should’ve actually made a play on the ball (although I hate adjacent slides). If on-ball whiffs, adjacent should crush carrier who’s exposed. Bottom line, that “show” from adjacent was hella weak.

The athletes weren’t as big, fast, strong or skilled in 1989. The stick technology wasn’t anything close to what it is today. Collison is 6’4” 225lbs and running at the defenders top hand. Come on. You go over the head here and it’s a goal. Come on.
