I am hearing terrible things about the Mt. Maunganui tragedy. That we should and could have done better. Brave guys ripping off roofs to get to trapped survivors were told to get down because it wasn't ‘safe’ or they ‘broke the rules’ or they weren't wearing shoes. In times like these.
