Beautiful. But only 31 or so of the IMAX’s in this picture are Real IMAX. There are 1800+ theaters claiming to have IMAX screens but we know the true 1.43:1 aspect ratio is required

@ch1ll_felix yeah it's in the works, Fathom Entertainment published the listing a bit early to Cinemark and Atom, and this isn't the first time that's happened with a Fathom release

@Madi_O3 the only true IMAX in Charlotte is the dome which can play films in 1.43, but it has a much more distorted image due to the heavily-curved screen. closest screens i recommend: Regal Mall of Georgia for IMAX 70mm (rare) and Royal Pooler (largest IMAX in US) for digital (safer bet)

@Valu86083930024 because the page for it on Cinemark and Atom was briefly visible before being hidden. it even had a Fathom tag on Cinemark's site which confirms it'll be distributed by Fathom Entertainment

@imfondofcheese when a song is distributed to youtube music, with or without permission, the auto-generated upload of it tends to show up on the artist's profile. so i wouldn't take that as proof of it not being fake

@reaperlego1987 i agree that that makes more sense spoiler-wise for TADC; i'm just going off of the distributor-submitted release date of June 4th, which is 15 days before the officially announced release date

@Smalwastaken 2 days? that's rough... i was hoping you were in Paris or something. (even then, it's still not great, but at least it's only 3.5 hours from there...) in any case, i hope that at some point, you can see films in a true IMAX theater without having to travel very far!

one day imax will realize that they can make a shit ton of money by selling their 1:43:1 format's for ALL physical releases instead of just saving them for theaters forever

@lilywhiteslover i wholeheartedly agree! however, despite the limited amount of theaters, filmmakers are framing movies with those theaters in mind (a lot of the 1.43 IMAX image is meant for your peripheral vision) and that full image just isn't meant to be experienced on just some TV or iPad
