Why do we even bother to make Drizzle faster(less slow)? People are using Drizzle ORM for schema management and migrations, while having GoLang backend, that's something we wanted to change Bun with bun/sql, Elysia/Hono + Drizzle with JIT is now faster than a golang server with sonic, fiber and fasthttp. While being waaay more dense and concise in your codebase We admire the JS ecosystem and hope to change the narrative of a "slow JS" which is definitely no longer the case

I really do wish @golang had union types. It's getting old now. Please, somehow, add a union type. We need it.

Drizzle v1.0.0-rc.1 is out 🚀 ▪︎ Effect v4 native support ▪︎ JIT row mappers to reduce ORM overhead to ~0 ▪︎ Reworked casing API (breaking change) ▪︎ Drizzle for LLM agents (preview) Drizzle is now as fast as using raw driver and mapping(or not mapping) results by hand 🙃

Portless killed :3000 Dev servers got stable names like myapp.localhost Agents could use worktrees in parallel without stepping on each other Now it's easier than ever in v0.11 Just run: portless Zero config. Zero args. Zero code changes.

@BenjDicken It’s still good to learn. Lots of codebases and examples still use it. I wouldn’t skip it, but I would try and understand how it works. But I feel like most modern codebases avoid it if they can. Better tools and patterns exist

eh @x are you aware the videos on the Web version of your app plays weird? I click on one video and it plays twice at the same time, causing an echo effect? this has been happening for some days now. send me a repo if you're too busy 💅

CSS animations just got way more powerful. You can now animate gradients, numbers, and custom properties smoothly. @ property makes it possible.

@BenjDicken I noticed, I'm scared, I'm pushing myself to do better. react will become obsolete soon like html. it's a backbone, yes but no one will take it serious again in a few years.

Going from chatting all day with database orchestration engineers -> react devs is such a trip. Most of these people don't even know what a WAL is.
