@CongDuNguyen1 @Fenrir3001 no? Many joseiseiyuu if anything start really going at it in their 30s, ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%B0%8F… see footnote 33, according to her the agency won't let her not only not do bikini shots but won't even let her show cleavage.
English

@Fenrir3001 No, Koiwa work largely in the early-mid 2010s, when pbs aren’t a big thing at the time, obviously she’s in her mid 30s and the confidence she has isn’t there.

@izzurukun b23.tv/JpKtqzO you can assume what they actually think about it, outside/monetary pressures and so on, and obviously the reasoning depends from person to person but if you actually listen to what they say about it there is some level of actually wanting to do it.

@mizanyx @miraiplasma Did we watch the same sunshine season 2, or really any love live media at all, sure no one gets stabbed but I don't get why people act like love live depicts a perfect utopia where nothing goes wrong.
English

@miraiplasma The world seems more focused now in presenting j-idols in a "dark", dramatic way, since Oshi no Ko. I don't know if the idea of a cheerful, sincere, mostly happy idol in anime has a future in 2026. And I say that as someone who loved Love Live.
English

Superstar as another SIP clone is an awful take. But yeah they share the same director, writer, and composer.
Netako@netakoh_
@thefirststaaar Honestly the whole franchise has lost its magic after Nijigaku. SiP was a nice change to the idol anime genre, Sunshine was more than just a SiP clone, Nijigaku was a nice spin-off series, and Superstar… well, it's another SiP clone. 🤷
English

@KatouEgao I mean it sounds interesting but I don't know if they can really make the anime cover the decades long history of the club, showing a new story rather than retreading old ground and everyone complain how rushed it is would be preferable.

@Necrofamicon @Michael_Druggan wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/dwayn… he had blocked arteries which could've caused a heart attack had he not stopped, just like those obese from fat. Stop the steroids/eating so much are not the same treatment, but they both result in weight loss. I'm not a doctor.
English

@trioskosmos @Michael_Druggan Would you say his health challenges would be the same as someone his health and weight but mostly from fat and not lean muscle? Would you recommend the same treatment?
English

This is simply correct. An Asian woman with a BMI of 30 has a different risk profile than a white man with a BMI of 30 and doctors should take that context into account.
Coddled Affluent Professional@feelsdesperate
The American Medical Association said BMI was racist.
English

@Necrofamicon @Michael_Druggan I mean it is better than fat but you're not supposed to have that much muscle, he had coronary heart disease. Sure the family history and steroids didn't help but he wouldn't have been that big without them, as you can see now with how much weight he lost.
English

@Michael_Druggan BMI is useless on an individual level anyway, it was meant to measure populations, not people.
Dwayne Johnson has a BMI of like 34, making him obese.
