تابعت فى الساعات الأولى من صباح اليوم إعلان التوصل لاتفاق وقف إطلاق النار بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية والجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، وهو خبر بلا شك أثلج صدور الملايين من محبى السلام فى سائر بقاع الأرض، وأدعو الله - عز وجل - أن يُكلل ذلك التطور الإيجابي باتفاق دائم لوقف الحرب فى المنطقة، واستعادة الأمن والاستقرار فيها، وتحقيق ما تتطلع اليه شعوبها من تنمية وتقدم وازدهار. وأجدد التأكيد على دعم مصر الكامل وغير المشروط لدول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والأردن والعراق الشقيقة فى هذه الظروف الدقيقة، واهمية أن يراعي اي اتفاق قادم الشواغل والمتطلبات الأمنية المشروعة لها . إن مصر إذ تثمن قرار الرئيس ترامب @realDonaldTrump فى الإصغاء إلى صوت العقل وإعلاء قيم الإنسانية والسلام، فإنها تدعو كافة الأطراف للانخراط بجدية فى المباحثات، وصولا للسلام الدائم والتعايش السلمي بين شعوب المنطقة و العالم. وستظل مصر - قيادة وحكومة وشعبا - داعمة لأمن واستقرار ورخاء أشقائنا فى دول الخليج والعراق والأردن، وسوف أستمرّ في بذل كل جهد صادق ومخلص يهدف إلى إنهاء الصراعات وإرساء السلام العادل والشامل فى منطقتنا وفي العالم بأسره. I followed, in the early hours of this morning, the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This news has undoubtedly brought great relief to millions of peace-loving people around the world, and I pray to Almighty God that this positive development will be crowned with a permanent agreement to end the war in the region, restore security and stability, and achieve the aspirations of its peoples for development, progress, and prosperity. I reaffirm Egypt’s full and unconditional support for the sister countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as Jordan and Iraq, during these difficult circumstances, and stress the importance that any forthcoming agreement take into account their legitimate security concerns and requirements. As Egypt values President Trump’s decision to heed the voice of reason and uphold the values of humanity and peace, it calls on all parties to engage seriously in negotiations aimed at achieving lasting peace and peaceful coexistence among the peoples of the region and the world. Egypt—its leadership, government, and people—will continue to support the security, stability, and prosperity of its sisterly Gulf states, Iraq and Jordan, and I will continue to exert every sincere and dedicated effort aimed at ending conflicts and establishing a just and comprehensive peace in our region and across the world.
