Southern KY is seeing some rain/storm action this afternoon too. Heavy downpours are moving through McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Laurel and Jackson counties.

The National Weather Service has announced that the Capitol city of Frankfort will no longer be an official climate site in Kentucky. This site has been keeping invaluable weather records since April 1, 1895. This is a pretty big blow to the local weather community. #kywx
