@bagshaw2112 David Greggs. Not to be confused with Greggs of now. A London chain who sold cold meats, eggs, sausages and so on. And whilst we're at it Kennedy's, a very south London version of similar provisions!

So tonight on Hometime I finally find out what mystery band @RichieFirth has booked for me to interview, he says they're one of the biggest bands in the world and regularly sell out stadiums. Any ideas? I think it might be Coldplay..

@bushontheradio Gosh that's a difficult and poignant post but a fabulous song as a tribute. Two spring to mind "Waterloo Sunset" as I grew up there on The Cut. Secondly and more for the smile of those who I left behind (and of course so cheesy) Thank You for Being a Friend by Andrew Gold.

Went to my friend Matt's funeral on Friday. The final walk past the coffin song was Jon Secada - Just Another Day. Inspired. What closing song would you have at your funeral?

@mancunianmedic I don't think they have them in Mr Buyrite this week. Try Man at C&A. They have the matching ones

@bushontheradio We all had the "aunty" and "uncle" version 2.0 when I was a kid in the 70s. But the dinner ladies were always Mrs So and So and the shopkeepers were Mr So and So. And woe betide you if you called your friend's mum by her first name until you were told you could

@DrSdeG I have read this as a patient, a carer and as a friend. It's spot on and I thank @dave_dlt for writing it. I am just about to send it to my friend. I am taking notice of it as an unpaid (and proud) carer and hoping I can be heard as a patient

John Smith was a decent old Labour patriot and Christian socialist who had little time for the 'dark arts' and hyper-progressivism of the New Labour crowd. It was no coincidence that in the two short years he was leader of the party, Peter Mandelson was totally sidelined.

@ParaAndy90 The doctor who delivered that kind of news to my mum was a fabulous Scottish fella. I've never forgotten him or his great compassion ❤️

These bulbs lasted 20 years, but went until just one was left. I couldn’t reach them, but the lads and a lady had a massive ladder. They’ve just left and, voilà, new bulbs, and shades so clean they’re unrecognisable. Hopefully, I’ll be dead before they need changing again! 💡💡💡
