@InteractiveCams @Western_Exile @Lordoftheringsu "But at that something snapped: suddenly Wormtongue rose up, drawing a hidden knife, and then with a snarl like a dog he sprang on Saruman’s back, jerked
his head back, cut his throat, and with a yell ran off down the lane."
Whose ignorance?

@Western_Exile @Lordoftheringsu I guess people in Russia don’t read, because that is what happened in the books. Thanks for proving the ignorance of non-readers though!

Sir Christopher Lee was deeply disappointed when Saruman’s death was cut from the theatrical Return of the King. As a devoted Tolkien fan, he felt it was “shocking” for such a major character to simply vanish. In protest, he refused to attend the world premiere.
Peter Jackson argued the scene slowed the pacing yet the Extended Edition restored it: Saruman stabbed by Gríma and falling from Orthanc.
And the most iconic detail? During filming, Jackson asked Lee to scream when stabbed. Lee replied:
“Do you know what sound a man makes when he’s stabbed in the back? Because I do.” Thanks to his WWII experience, he explained a real stab produces only a sharp gasp not a scream.

@stats_feed More in general, it's high time we stopped with these stupid rankings. It's like asking "what's your favourite colour?": good to ask a child aged 6, but otherwise it simply doesn't exist, things are luckily far more complex and what's best depends on the situation.
English

@stats_feed This list makes no sense. First, quality of wine varies a lot with producers and year, you can find a very bad Bordeaux or Barolo. Most, it's simply ludicrous to put different wines on a ranking, they have different qualities and adapt to different dishes, etc.

@Sierra_rak This is madness: if I'm forced to pay, it should be in the price tag. I'd order and pay on purpose only the price without any tip, I'd be curious to see how they can stop me.
