@TimothyMangan @affinitybyserif Unfortunately, this does not work if the program I am configuring requires an *.exe file for the launch and there is no other way to link.

@affinitybyserif @trueffelhamster Or you learn to do it "the new way". Settings-->Apps-->DefaultApps. Type .svg in the top search box (it finds the existing default, Edge). Click on arrow at right edge of the existing default entry, scroll down to the app and click Set default. Even if the new app is MSIX.

@affinitybyserif How do I find the *.exe file for the new versions of the Affinity suite so that I can change the default program to open *.svg files in Adobe Lightroom, for example? The file affinitydesigner2.exe in the directory ..\AppData\.. has 0 bytes and cannot be opened

@trueffelhamster You have the .MSIX version of the app installed, if you want to link external apps to launch affinity via the .EXE I would suggest uninstalling the app(S) and then re-installing the app(s) via the .MSI to get access to the .EXE, more info: #comment-1039132" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/top…

@affinitybyserif Thanks for the support but this did not solve my problem. I have alot of guides in er certain grid which would be much easier to create if I could import a list created in EXCEL beforehand
