Yea, I can totally understand that, I've wanted to bring my IRL stream outside at night (using a pixel 7 raw camera output and send it to obs) but I know the poor phone won't stand a chance. It's been a while since I've done proper photography (not since my media design studies in 2012....)

A VTuber complains that nobody is watching them from the safety of their home. Meanwhile an idol is putting on a brave performance in public while most people just pass them. Even if it might be embarrassing or humiliating and some people might even consider you a nuisance. Not giving up on your dream is truly inspiring. I want to have courage like that. For me you are already an Idol, because you shine like a bright star in the darkness. I pray that your dream will become true, let us shine bright together...

In all seriousness i believe shylily is patient zero for that design and if you wanted to copy any vtubers design to maximise profitability it's probably that one. a lot of people don't look for a design asking "what do i want to look like" but rather "what will others like" this type embodies sex appeal and has been proven to work. it's like males rebranding to a ikemen demon in a suit.

This motion tracking is done after recording and it looks amazing, especially with all the data on screen. I believe it's actually possible to do this as a live stream because it should be possible to send motion data over wifi to a destination PC that runs the vtuber software.

I'm mostly confused by the "optimal" because there's always a way to optimally use the resources that you are given to produce goods it's just not going to be an even number that utilizes the theoretical maximum output of the machines. (I'm assuming you mean that) In a way having odd resource generation in the current state made me think a bit more about what and how I wanna produce things. If anything my critique is that we have too much space so optimizing for efficiency is rarely required. (I crammed the entire production into the Wuling AIC) I do believe I'd want to see the factory expand, but it should be more difficult than it is now, I believe just giving us more resources is actually making it easier. I wonder how much more complicated they are willing to make it. It seems like the bar is set pretty low, especially because the threshold for stock bills and their use is set relatively low. That would be my only gripe.

Some thoughts about the direction Arknights: Endfield is taking with the Factory in 1.1 Wuling. Extremely disappointed.

Man who's about to put another adventurer's guild in his game... whoops! Actually isn't it interesting how that concept was rarely reused? Probably because it made it harder to make a good story around a ton of characters. Suikoden kinda proved it can still work, but that game is less focused on Adventure as an aspect. I actually want to get into the concept of a guild, and potentially have you lead / manage it as part of the story instead of just it being a system to change characters.

There's definitely a huge downside to becoming popular and especially popular in certain ways. Once you hit it big like he did, you end up becoming a product and any change in the product will have people talk about you like you are groceries with a changed recipe that don't taste like it used to. The individual has to then take a step back and realize they can't become a human again unless they somehow manage to emerge as a new personality and start from scratch. Often times Joji (Filthy Frank) is quoted having done exactly that and it is possible, but it also helped that he just did his thing and delivered a new product (his music) that resonated with people. A discovery phase is definitely something that sounds like he needs, but I don't think it's a good idea to look for support from the fans in this case it will create a lot of friction. Especially in the streaming space it's a very fine line where you stop being a person and start being a product. I do believe at least in the vtubing space the emphasis on the "person" is stronger because the parasocial connections only really work if you accept there's a person to attach to in the first place, but it's not like one of the big hololive vtubers can just open up about their personal stuff and in a way the barrier there is even higher because it breaks the immersion of being a cute anime girl. I hope Kai can find people to confide in and surround himself with people that take him seriously. Those connections are incredibly important if you do something as stressful being a public figure.

i saw this & got curious bc i don’t watch kai but didnt think him being gone 6mo sounded right? i checked his twitter & it’s tbh sad bc he’s on a mental health hiatus & has been occasionally sharing creative thoughts & feelings & all the replies are people saying they don’t care

@strawbrrytrips I wanted a fully unique design, but im also a fan of basic tropes so now i feel like my design is so lame, but i lack the skills and vision to iterate on it. It can't be helped, our brains sabotage us however it can the only winning move is to never think😌

it seriously pains me seeing such original vtubers not enjoy their designs then graduate and then seeing theres people who cant even fathom originality obsessed with their rip off :/

turns out to lose weight all you have to do is eat healthy and work out 3 times a week without break for 2 whole years. im still working on that "brushing teeth" business, i'll let you know how that goes.
