Veteran WR Terry McLaurin is a HUGE fantasy football bounceback candidate.
McLaurin’s 2025 season was stop-start following a prolonged contract holdout in the off-season.
McLaurin missed 7 games and finished as the WR #54 in total points - a stark contrast to his 2024 season where he finished as the WR #7.
In Jayden Daniels’ rookie season, Terry McLaurin had his best ever fantasy football season:
-1,096 rec yards
-13 TDs
-82 receptions
McLaurin and Daniels have great chemistry - in ‘24, McLaurin had a 0.64 EPA / TGT.
At 31, McLaurin might not be the most tantalizing name, but he is the WR #1 on a team that has one of the thinnest pass catching rooms in the NFL.
It is entirely plausible that McLaurin commands a 30%+ target rate on this offense.

@StartSitEmFF Maybe takes a month or so but huge season ahead

Tucker Kraft would have been in Tier One TE conversations if it wasn’t for a season ending injury.
Kraft was in the middle of putting together an elite fantasy season.
Kraft ranked:
-TE#2 in PPR PPG
-TE #2 in EPA/TGT
-TE #2 in YPRR
-TE #1 in YAC/rec - by a mile.
The Packers pass catching room has been streamlined/optimized in business parlance. Romeo Doubs left in free agency to the Patriots and Dontayvion Wicks was traded to the Eagles.
That leaves over 30% of Jordan Love’s targets available from last season.
Christian Watson, Jaylen Reed and Matthew Golden will eat into that - but good things consistently happened when Tucker Kraft got the ball last season.

Chig Okonkwo is going to be fantasy relevant this season.
Okonkwo has never finished above TE #21 in fantasy.
At any point in the last 4 seasons, you would likely be able to find Chig Okonkwo sitting on the waivers of your league.
Okonkwo’s production has been steady - around 55 receptions, 550 yards and a couple of TDs. Nothing spectacular. Nothing that is going to help you win your league.
That changed when he was signed by the Commanders.
Jayden Daniels has shown a predilection for his TEs in his limited time in the NFL.
In his rookie season, veteran Zach Ertz finished as the TE #7.
Although Washington spent a third round pick on slot receiver Antonio Williams, this is one of the shallowest receiving corps in the NFL - something that Okonkwo could benefit from.

Outside of Walker, it’s hard to be that enthusiastic about this offense for fantasy in the immediate future.
Rice finds himself in prison rehabilitating a knee surgery.
Mahomes is coming off a serious injury.
Kelce is on a retirement tour.
Worthy has failed to impress and has faced injuries.
Andy Reid has re-hired Eric Bieniemy to help recapture the 2022 offense.
English

If Brock Purdy was drafted in the 1st round, he would be valued much higher than he currently is.
Last season, Purdy averaged 20.8 FPTS in the 9 games that he played. That would have been good for the QB #2 over the course of a full season, with only Josh Allen ranking ahead of him.
In the fantasy playoffs, Purdy averaged 32 PPG.
Yet the market still treats him like a low-end QB1.
As always, health will play a huge part in the 49ers offense - but this is an experienced group that will always have the potential to be one of the league’s best with Kyle Shanahan at the helm.
Purdy is currently ranked as the QB #13 in ECR, whilst he is available in rounds 8/9 of Best Ball drafts.

I think this is FINALLY the season that Josh Downs breaks through and becomes a fantasy asset.
Why?
Michael Pittman’s departure opens up over 100 targets in this Colts offense.
It is easy to forget that through the first 8 weeks of the season, this Colts offense was the best in the NFL - averaging over 33 PPG.
Now look at Downs’ trajectory.
Downs quietly finished the season incredibly strong.
In half of the Colts’ final 8 games, Downs caught at least 6 passes.
That kind of usage matters - especially for a receiver who wins underneath and earns easy completions consistently..
If Downs absorbs even a chunk of those vacated targets, he will smash his current value.

I’m out on Bucky Irving at cost.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have told us what they think about Bucky Irving this off season…
After fishing as the RB #13 in his rookie season, Bucky Irving struggled to recapture that 1st year form in an injury hit sophomore season.
Irving missed 7 games and when he returned failed to make much of an impression on a Buccaneers offense that really struggled in the 2nd half of the season.
Bucky posted notable declines from Year One to Year Two in:
-Success rate
-EPA/Rush Att
-Red zone efficiency
-FPTs per game
-Targets
In the off season, the Buccaneers prioritized Kenneth Gainwell off his best ever season where he led the Steelers in receptions.
The Bucs also bought back Sean Tucker, who was much more efficient in the red zone than Bucky.
New Buccaneers OC Zac Robinson recently said that Bucky Irving and Kenneth Gainwell "can match each other" in terms of their similar skill sets out of the backfield.
This is not what you want to hear if you’re a Bucky Irving owner.

Everyone is trying to find the next Jaxon Smith Njigba in fantasy football.
I think all the signs are pointing to Drake London.
- Accounted for 30% of targets last season
- Accounted for over 40% of air yards last season
- Elite RB should keep defenses honest
- Not a lot of pass catching options in Atlanta
- 19.67 PPR PPG with Michael Penix as a starter
Though it is no guarantee that Michael Penix will start Week One, London has averaged 9.3 targets per game over the last 2 seasons and doesn’t face much competition in 2026.
London is poised for a huge season.

@StartSitEmFF Someone is going to be a big winner - anyone’s guess who

I'm in on Rome Odunze.
Odunze has shown flashes in his two years in the NFL, but inconsistency, injuries and a loaded depth chart have capped his fantasy upside.
Through the first 4 weeks of the season, Odunze ranked as the WR #3 in fantasy.
With the departure of DJ Moore, who had 16% of the Bears targets, the Bears have streamlined their pass catching room - but the market is anticipating that it will be Colston Loveland who will be the main beneficiary.
Odunze currently has the lowest ADP of Bears pass catchers in start up drafts - which offers value for the former #9 pick.

Fantasy Football Verdict 🏈
Every wide receiver who was available or potentially available has been rumored to join the Patriots this off season - but the only one who has joined so far is Romeo Doubs.
Doubs is a solid WR, though he has never finished above WR #36 in PPR formats. Doubs certainly doesn’t fit that stud WR #1 role that everyone has been wishcasting to the Patriots for several months now.
With AJ Brown’s status up in the air, it remains to be seen if the Patriots add further depth in this department.
If they don’t, Romeo Doubs is a clear buy in all formats given he is tethered to one of the best young QBs in the NFL.
Rhamondre Stevenson proved a thorn in the side of all TreVeyon Henderson owners last season - the veteran was flat out better for large parts of the season and was clearly someone who Mike Vrabel trusted in big moments.
Both Stevenson (RB #25) and Henderson (RB #21) offer RB #2 upside in an offense that continued to invest in the o line, TEs and fullback positions.
At TE, Hunter Henry returns - whilst Eli Raridon is intriguing as a rookie prospect in dynasty formats.
The Patriots offense will go as Drake Maye goes.

Off-season Review: New England Patriots
After a wildly unexpected run to the Super Bowl, just one story has dominated the Patriots off season.
But none of that here.
We’re going to wildly speculate about how the Patriots will shake out from a fantasy football perspective instead.
Drake Maye became the Foxborough heir apparent, performing at an MVP level in just his 2nd season in the NFL. Maye was the beating heart of this Patriots offense which went from 17 PPG in 2024 to 28.8 PPG in 2025.
Maye ranked:
QB#2 in fantasy
1st in passer rating
1st in QBR
1st in completion rate
1st in EPA per pass.
Maye managed to accomplish this with Stefon Diggs coming off an ACL tear and his 17th child, Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Kayshon Boutte, Mac Hollins and Kyle Williams. Not exactly the most dynamic receiving corps.
Although the Super Bowl was a bit of a welcome to Big School moment for New England, the Patriots time in the NFL wilderness has come to an end.
With Drake Maye, the Patriots are set to compete in the playoffs for years to come - but how did the Patriots perform in the off season? ⬇️

DeVonta Smith could easily finish as a WR #1 if AJ Brown is traded to the Patriots.
With rumors around AJ Brown’s future, DeVonta Smith is set to be a candidate to produce a big season.
The Eagles reportedly view Smith as having the potential to breakout in the same way that Jaxon Smith Njigba did last season for the Seahawks.
In the last two seasons, DeVonta Smith has ran 163 routes without AJ Brown on the field:
- Has been targeted on almost 40% of those routes vs 20% when they were both on the field
- 16.63 PPR PPG without AJ Brown

English

Kyren Williams continues to be undervalued in fantasy football.
In the last few seasons, rumors of Kyren Williams’ demise have been greatly exaggerated.
We have had stories about Williams returning kicks and stories about Williams ceding carries to Blake Corum.
This year, we’re hearing that the Rams will operate a 50/50 split.
None of that has materialized.
In the last three seasons, Williams has:
- RB #9, RB #7, RB #7 finishes.
- Av 1,450 scrimmage yards per season.
- 4.65 YPC - 15 TDs per season
Kyren Williams is currently ranked as the RB #17 in dynasty.

Everyone hates RJ Harvey and I’m not entirely sure why.
The Broncos re-signed JK Dobbins in free agency before adding Jonah Coleman in the 4th round of the draft.
Since taking over as the Broncos' starting RB, Harvey ranked:
· RB #11 (1st among rookies)
· 6 TD (1st among rookies)
· 15.3 fantasy PPG (1st among rookies)
Harvey's vision has a lot of room for improvement, as he struggled to run between the tackles. Currently, it seems that Harvey isn't an every down back - but he is a big playmaker with the ability to produce.
Whilst it is true that Sean Payton hates your fantasy team and doesn’t want to see you win, Harvey will still have an important role on this offense even if he cedes some of the early down / short yardage work.
