Few days before elections, my son asked me and my wife to vote for a particular political party. As is the trend with youngsters, it was not Vijay. When I asked why he wanted that particular person to become Chief Minister, he explained his own logic and rationale. Both me and my wife were very happy. Two reasons: He didn't go simply by Vijay because that is the trend amongst youth and kids. His logic wasn't that great or outstanding. We were happy because he has started thinking on his own.

What have we done or failed to do for this society? Parents, Teachers & Social Influencers need to introspect on how we have allowed such a rotten idea to creep into our political system. Tamil Nadu as a state has progressed well in the last 75 years. Our past rulers may not have been perfect but they have not been as bad as what has been projected. Be it Congress or DMK or AIADMK they had done their job well. If this start up party is getting double digit in vote share & single digit in seats then that blame goes to every stakeholder. Insanity has entered into many homes in the Urban areas. Whoever forms the Government has an humungous responsibility to clean up this poison from our political system. The youth are into Drugs & whom are those youth supporting. That would give us an answer. My friend is a DMK supporter, her husband is TVK. He had registered as a TVK member long back through that missed call thing it seems. on Apr 22 evening around 7 pm, dat is just 5 hours before election day, some tvk person called him and asked if he could come sit in the booth since they didn’t have anyone 😄 that too in one of the constituencies inside Chennai city. My friend confused him with all sorts of talks and made him cancel it. He didn’t go. Next morning when she went to vote… TVK booth had empty chairs it seems 😄

NTK got approx 8% votes last time. 60% of this was maatram vote and 40% was organic farming, pesticide free farming sitting in London and eelam vote. Tvk is going to make a clean sweep of the 60% maatram vote. Same with MNM. Out of 3%, 50% was maatram votes and the other 50% are aandavar fans who will even watch kaaviyams like thoonga vanam. So the first 7.5-8% is coming from this catchment area.
