In Bangalore, half the people signing up for HYROX or marathons aren’t flexing they’re just trying to drag themselves out of lazy mode and actually train for something. That ₹5k–₹9k isn’t for a “one-day run”… it’s basically buying yourself 2–3 months of discipline with a finish line attached.
And honestly? People will happily spend more on brunches, gadgets, or a weekend trip to Coorg and not question it once. But if it’s fitness, suddenly it becomes “why so expensive?”
At the end of the day, if paying for an event is what gets someone off the couch and into better shape, that’s probably one of the better things money can buy.
