🧵 I built an AI Chief of Staff... and it saves me 8 hours a week! 😱 I manage people🧍, projects🗂️ and goals📊. Most of my week is in meetings, then reviewing work done by others, finally by keeping my to do app, project management app and team documents up to date. I was spending 8-10 hours of my workweek in administration—email triage📧, calendar edits, meeting notes, task follow-ups. But I was still dropping important tasks, keeping my team waiting, not always on the right project at the right time.🫢 Every Fortune 500 CEO has a Chief of Staff -- I needed one, but... A top-tier human Chief of Staff💰💵 costs $180-220 k/yr. I needed the leverage, not the head-count. So I built Basil—an AI Chief of Staff to handle ALL of the coordination work automagically. ⸻ What Claude Code is for developers, Basil is for Leaders.🌿 Always on, full context, using your tools to organize, communicate and manage. ⸻ Basil uses to the tools you already use—email, calendar, IM, meetings—and keeps a real-time model of: • team members • projects & deadlines • goals & KPIs • messages & conversations • meetings It is always running in the background, reading emails, transcribing meetings, updating documents, and communicating—with you and your team. ⸻ What it does every day ▸ Joins meetings → transcribes & files notes ▸ Drafts context-aware emails and DMs ▸ Turns promises into tasks & follow-ups ▸ Builds agendas before calls, summaries after ▸ Surfaces blockers on projects and KPIs ▸ Communicates with you and your team ⸻ How & Where it works Basil works over chat (typing and voice), everywhere and anywhere—desktop & mobile; macOS, Windows, iOS, Android. ⸻ Under the hood Always runs the latest LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) ⸻ Basil pays for itself quickly: • Earn $1M/year compensation → $500/hr → Basil’s $299/mo pays for itself in one hour. • $200k compensation → $100/hr → payback in one day. ⸻ Feature checklist ✓ Contextual intelligence (teams, goals, KPIs) ✓ Task & follow-up automation ✓ Agenda prep for you and the team ✓ Goal/KPI tracking with proactive alerts ✓ Automatic project-board updates ✓ No-cost access to newest AI models ⸻ What changed for me • Inbox to actionable zero every morning • No time spent updating to do lists, project boards or team documents • No more dropped balls... Basil has a perfect memory and juggles everything • Better communication from me to the team; the right message at the right time • No wasted time managing my calendar • Fewer status meetings—Basil already syncs the board • Strategy blocks stay intact because admin work moved to the background • I split my newly freed up time: 50% for personal time and 50% for work ⸻ Try it If you measure your work in decisions, not inbox zero, Basil can give you the hours back: trybasil.ai. I have several marketing workflows built into prompts and claude commands. For example, I can do /content from claude code. It will research and write an article, format it properly for my blog, deploy the blog. Then it writes a tweet thread and schedules it on my todo list for me to manually post.

Does anyone use Claude Code for non-coding use cases? If so, what do you use it for?

Executives make 300+ micro-decisions about priorities before lunch. 80% face information overload. 76% cite it as daily stress. 41% of time wasted on low-value tasks. But AI task prioritization is changing everything. Here's how leaders save 15 hours weekly: The cognitive cost is staggering: • Interrupted every 3-11 minutes • 23 minutes to refocus each time • 10-point IQ drop from constant switching • Decision quality tanks after 3 PM We've moved from VUCA to BANI: Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible. Enter AI task prioritization. Not another to-do app. Think: An executive assistant with perfect memory who: - Never sleeps - Learns your patterns - Makes 1000s of micro-decisions - Frees your brain for strategy The mental relief is immediate. How AI transforms the Eisenhower Matrix: DO NOW → AI alerts & escalates crises SCHEDULE → AI blocks calendar time automatically DELEGATE → AI suggests who & drafts handoffs DELETE → AI filters out entirely No more manual sorting. Ever. The 3 productivity principles AI applies: 1. Pareto: Finds your 20% tasks that deliver 80% results 2. Goldilocks: Matches task difficulty to your energy 3. Newton's Law: Pairs small wins with big projects for momentum Your personalized productivity engine. Real results from a Fortune 500 exec: Before: 200+ tasks, constant context switching After: Motion AI for automated scheduling Results: • 15 hrs/week reclaimed • Decision fatigue gone by 3 PM (was 11 AM) • 40% more strategic projects done "Like hiring 3 assistants." The tech making it possible: NLP: Understands true urgency vs fake urgency Pattern Recognition: Learns when you're sharpest Predictive Analytics: Flags future fires before they start It's not magic. It's machine learning applied to human productivity. Top tools crushing it: MOTION ($19/mo): Auto-schedules everything, 32% faster projects TASKADE ($4/mo): Team priority alignment, 40% fewer meetings CLICKUP BRAIN ($9/mo): Workspace-wide AI, 15 hrs/week saved ASANA ($11/mo): Complex workflow automation ROI in days, not months. The 30-day implementation: Week 1: Baseline your chaos Week 2: Train the AI on your patterns Week 3: Activate automation Week 4: Optimize & expand Most see results in 48 hours. Full transformation in 30 days. Hidden psychological benefits: 1. Anxiety drops (AI catches everything) 2. Flow states return (no micro-decisions) 3. Relationships improve (less stressed = better leader) 4. Strategic thinking expands (tactical handled) "I sleep through the night again." Common objection: "My work's too complex" Reality: Complexity is WHERE AI shines - Tracks 100s of variables - Spots patterns you miss - Adapts instantly - Learns exceptions The more complex, the more you need it. Decision fatigue isn't weakness. It's physics. Every choice depletes finite mental energy. AI handles the small decisions so you can make the big ones. Save 15 hours. Reduce stress. Lead better. Ready to reclaim your mental energy? Builders: make recording demo videos super simple with a REDACTED MODE. I dogfood my own product -- I use it all day. I wanted to be able to easy record screencasts of my normal workflow that I can use for marketing. But, I didn't want to leak any personal info to the public. So I build a REDACTED MODE into the app. It just turns PII into generic names, projects, to do items, etc. When I have a workflow I want to screencast, I just turn on redacted mode, record and then turn it off. It makes recording content for marketing dirt simple.

The culture shift is bigger than the tech: Old world: Presence = productivity New world: Outcomes > attendance Executives mastering this now will have massive advantages. Those resisting? They'll be left behind.

Three types of AI meeting solutions: 1. Bot-based (visible participant) 2. Bot-free (invisible capture) 3. Digital twins (attend for you) Most companies failing with #1. Smart ones moving to #2. The future is #3.

The hidden challenges: 1. Participation changes when recorded 2. AI misses context (sarcasm, tension) 3. Accountability gets fuzzy 4. Innovation discussions suffer The companies winning? They acknowledge these and plan for them.

39.5% of companies block AI meeting tools. Why? Legal nightmares: • Wiretapping law violations • Discovery risks in litigation • Competitive intelligence leaks • Consent complexity Yet adoption doubles every quarter. The productivity gains are too big to ignore.
