@thr33strikes Vitalik isn’t the CEO of the only company developing the chain. Cardano has literally 0 outsider interest.

It seems like the only people still into #Cardano are those people who chant their cult prayers online all the time. The people that read and can use a calculator are all backing away.

@Fabian_vBergen @SmaugPool I did. They mention minPoolCost as sybille protection. minPoolCost acts as sybille protection by allowing the founders and others to control pool desirability - which is no protection, it requires trust. 100% of the research and published science says minPoolCost must be 0.

Are you interested in a detailed thread about PCP-001? Well, the Parameter Comittee just posted a deep dive thread here : forum.cardano.org/t/pcp-001-k-pa… Alot of interesting information to get a better overview about the whole topic. #Cardano

@0xNLYFANS @bisoncoin_io @stefos07409904 5. Cardano needs pledge slashing. It’s currently incentivizing operators to create 2 to many blocks per slot creating forks downstream. This is slashable behavior.

You’re repeating Charles Hoskinson’s false talking points, not facts. Sorry to pick you up on this, but… 1. Ethereum staking is non-custodial - you run a validator. You control the keys. Custodial staking refers to exchanges and third party services like Coinbase cbETH. 2. Lido is separate and is a liquid staking token (not a derivative) built on top of Ethereum staking. Same as qADA or Optim built on top of Cardano, but with yield wrapped as a token. 3. Cardano uses a delegation model (like Tezos which implemented it first). Many other chains use this or similar models, but it’s slightly different to direct POS, since you delegate a wallet to a baker or SPO only - as a form of voting. You don’t provide stake in the typical sense, just an IOU. 4. Correct. Delegated POS doesn’t (always) include slashing, but that’s a security tradeoff with good and bad considerations. Slashing is incredibly rare and requires a malicious action to attack the network. It protects against a specific class of short and long range attacks. 5. Ethereum staking requires considerably more risk and active participation, but also pays a considerably higher yield than Cardano delegation because of this. Currently $53bn @ 3.26% vs $8.3bn @ 0.38% yield. 7. As above, network security is quite different to DeFi - although liquid staking tokens like Lido and Liqwid do attempt to bridge this divide and make yield more composable as you’ve suggested for those seeking access to compounded yield. 8. You can toggle this on with DeFi Llama to see its impact, but it’s off by default due to the obvious double counting issues it creates. Happy to go into more detail on any and each of these. Hope that helps.

@JaromirTesar Not really though. Partner chains don't need to leverage cardano. They can choose any chains they want. It's basically a way to attract already established validator/pool operators and miners who don't want to speculate on a new asset but just get paid on the currency of their L1

Through the new framework (Polkadot's Substrate), #Cardano will essentially become a direct competitor to the Polkadot and #Cosmos projects. Partner chains are essentially the same as parachains in the #Polkadot ecosystem. Cardano will be the settlement layer for partner chains.

For the Cardano community: Everyone should watch the @bigpey interview with CH to get a much better understanding of the motivation behind Midnight. I could do an entire blog post just dissecting this one interview. Go to the 17min mark if you want to skip straight to Midnight. Will document my thoughts later ..am still watching it. youtu.be/Ki-HSHgtIGk?si…

What does @linuxfoundation know about Charles and Cardano? They were willing to take on Cardano as a project under 3 requirements, one of which was Charles complete disassociation from the project. You can imagine how Charles took the news.

@monad_alexander @linuxfoundation One of the weirdest parts I found about your critiques of Charles is that you paint him as this guy with a huge and fragile ego. I’m not saying the man is perfect, but I have not seen this supposed ego in any of his public appearances...

@Redd_Spark Charles knows he is guilty of mass fraud with Cardano by the way he scientifically proved himself wrong with his own research. Not doing that again. Provably secure claim is fraud.

This is good. This is a counter to all the people saying Midnight is not going to be a sidechain of Cardano. Would still be good to see white paper on its design.
Charles Hoskinson@IOHK_Charles

@flubdubster Midnight will bring tens of millions of users into the Cardano ecosystem, Lace will keep them, intersect gives them a place to talk to each other, CIP 1694 gives them a voice in the future. Yes this is exactly what is happening.

When ppl decide to hate @IOHK_Charles.. they really decide to hate 'em, eh? I've never seen someone so polarizing. On top of that, I've seen folks love him one day, then despise him the next. I mean, how is that level of switch up even possible? And man, they don't just dislike him and bounce.. They dislike him and begin posting more than they ever did before. IDK man.

@InputEndorsers It’s the responsibility of people that have been scammed to speak up and warn others. Keeping quiet ensures somebody else will fall for the same scam. You can already see IOG ramping up the same lies they used on Cardano on Midnight.

Wise words from Alfred. If you don't like #Cardano no more, move on. Don't keep pouring petrol and throwing matches behind, just because you're insecure about your decision to leave. Goodbye and goodluck.
Alfred Moesker@bigezdaddy2017

Been busy for about half a year and see some of the same angry bickerers still running rampant on #Cardano twitter. Personally when I like something, I stay, or if I don't, I leave and look to find joy in something else. Wish you all find your happiness.

Big time but don't go full MONAD, this is sick as it is no longer balanced, nobody will believe you. It's not that bad but its not super rosy either. It's black and white, life is full of shades of grey. We also need our leaders in Cardano to be receiptive to feedback.
Matthew Capps@cryptstitution

Cardano needs a robust social framework for disagreement, dissent, and criticism, such that they result in greater cohesion and progress. Many, including IO, are working on this, but we have a way to go yet.

@conraddit @NostraTomas People had a desire to improve the internet. Once IOG stop, who is going to develop Cardano? There isn’t some line of people waiting. Not even the IOG devs are passionate about it beyond recieving a paycheck (not ADA, fiat).

To everyone doubting #Cardano, understand that we're not on the blockchain/DeFi race. Our mission is to become the Financial Operating System of the World. Once you understand this, our TPS, our decentralization, our approach to building the FOSW will make sense.
