We are preparing for a strong wind event in Colorado and may need to conduct a targeted Public Safety Power Shutoff along the Front Range as a public safety measure to reduce wildfire risk on Dec. 17 beginning at 12 noon. Customers are encouraged to review the outage map: xcelener.gy/4agXO23

While we no longer expect to conduct a Public Safety Power Shutoff, we will be activating Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings (EPSS) across our Front Range service area to reduce wildfire risk due to the upcoming weather event. Customers in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Larimer, Jefferson, and East Denver counties are encouraged to prepare for potential weather-related outages, especially on Monday, when high winds are expected. During escalated wildfire operations, we will also stage extra crews as needed for rapid outage response and deploy drones and other monitoring tools to inspect lines and assist in outage response.
