Mid-March has not been kind to the Heat the last two seasons. Last year Miami lost 10 games in a row. They’re currently stuck in a 5 game skid. That’s the formula to be a play-in team. Guys in locker still have hope they can avoid it.
@WillManso It’s about that time of year for Spo’s “ We have competitors in the locker room “ post game press conference. Same crap every year. What a disappointing season.

Those are the point totals the Heat has allowed to opponents their last 5 games. Not surprising, all losses. Miami’s defense struggling when needed most in playoff push. Because of it, play-in seems likely again. Disappointing.
It's very clear how much better the Spurs are than the Heat. It's not just Wemby. Castle and Harper are top-five picks. Vassell is a top-11 pick. Fox is an All-Star. Just a ton of talent that the Heat can't compete with.
For those preferring a Heat tank at this ridiculously late stage, keep in mind 10 teams will almost definitively finish with worse records, as could the two teams losing in the West play-in. So that would put the Heat at no better that a No. 13 lottery seed.
Regrettably, Heat - down 27- seemingly is not any better when they're at full strength. Quite a puzzle about how to fix it. But please don't say 'do like the Spurs '.. they were hot garbage for 6 years in a row (22 to 34 wins) and it's good now only because they were incredibly lucky with Wemby. With all due respect to them.
Well then
That was just an insane game, and it ends with the Heat on the wrong side of a tip-in at the buzzer
(Heat went to a big lineup too with Bam and Kel’el)
Luka Doncic goes to the FT line to hit the 60 point mark on the night. LeBron James gets the triple-double with 19-15-10. Pretty easy to see what the difference was tonight. Insane performances on a road back-to-back. The Lakers beat the Heat 134-126.
