Today is my last day at cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer after almost exactly 11 years. That's a really long time! I never thought I would write for what I consider my hometown paper much less spend more than a decade doing so.

He was, as an expert on politics, giving his analysis about what debates have become today. In that format, with that delivery, “in the weeds” was not going to make the desired impression.

After yesterday's lawlessness at the Capitol, it's absolutely gutting to receive reader emails today pointing out that Toledo Blade editors changed wire copy to say that it was "mostly" Trump supporters who incited violence and chaos.

The Cabinet needs to meet tonight and invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump. Congress should then impeach, convict, and remove Trump permanently from office. He has incited rebellion against the Constitution.
