#LetFreedomSing All prejudices fear truth , facts , and data . Whether it is racism, tribalism , classism, or sexism , it hates scientific analysis, data , and facts. Prejudices leverage anecdotes into dogma . They use simplistic clichés to describe hugely complex situations. Ask yourself, who has or is creating employment in our countries? Who is exporting jobs and who is responsible for most of the illicit financial outflows, money laundering, and ransacking of State assets ? How much of a threat are poor people to other poor people as compared to rich and corrupt people? Once you take class analysis and a pan- Africanist perspective out of nationalism , you will inevitably go down an abysmal identinty politics spiral . Amin Malouf identified such abysmal spiral in his book title 'Identities that kill' . Folks assume an identity ,national , ethnic , racial , religious and etcetera and they weaponize such an identity to kill , steal , and destroy whatever other identity they classify as "the other" that doesn't belong "here" . Populist outrage , ignorance , and bigotry become mobilization tools . But these are not empowering or transformative mindsets . In the long-term, these become self-destructive traits

I have lived with trauma from my Grade 4 teacher for 32 years !!. He treated me so badly that I block any of my Grade 4 classmates… the memories they have of me is that boy who was isolated, beaten and humiliated by the teacher… merely because my dad could not afford the dance lessons fee and school trips and I am a very bad singer…To this day I still long to see his him/ family or his grave and cough out my pain. On a school trip that other learners paid for me because my dad couldn’t afford he made me stand the whole journey to the airport. He didn’t give me any food with others and made me look after learners bags when everyone went to see the planes and got in them. I didn’t tell my mom and dad about this experience. I decided to be a teacher to undo this kind of injustice and inhumane treatment I experienced. I know his pain. If anyone has his parents number I can wire him a few rands to buy as many pies as he can.

I slept over at a friend’s house and accidentally knocked over his mom’s super expensive glass vase while sneaking to the kitchen at night. It shattered everywhere. I just stood there in shock. My friend walked in, looked at the mess, and without saying anything grabbed a pillow and threw it at the wall knocking down a picture frame. Then he yelled, “THE CAT IS GOING CRAZY AGAIN.” His mom came running in and started blaming the cat while we cleaned everything up. That cat took the fall for us.

So, I shared this video of iShowSpeed telling a young Zimbabwean lady with natural hair that she is beautiful. I shared it with Dr Solomon Guramatunhu, who is Zimbabwe’s leading eye surgeon and has been a proponent of natural hair for years, educating both men and women about the dangers of using human hair bought from different countries. I do not know who this young woman is, but Dr Guramatunhu asked me to pass on a message. As long as he is still practising as an eye surgeon in Zimbabwe, this young lady will have free access to medical eye-care and consultations at his practice. His practice will also pay for her spectacles if she ever needs them, and will cover all her eye care. This is his way of showing appreciation for her choice to wear natural hair, something that was noticed by iSpeed when he acknowledged her beauty.

🔸Good day Honourable Minister @TateMavetera, 1. Handingamborwadziwa nemota. To me, a car is just a mode of transport. Kune munhu anozvishandira, it’s a simple matter of walking into a dealership, buying the one you want and life goes on. Nothing to see there. 2. However, chinondirwadza is the following: •A Govt that always has money to buy party apparatchiks cars but pleads poverty when it’s time to buy schoolchildren computers or pay their fees under BEAM, •A Govt that will overtax every facet of the economy dry including the digital economy that should be protected if Zimbabwe is going to modernize and use tech to solve problems, •A Govt that awards public contracts to cronies and not competent, established seevice providers of integrity, •A Govt that’s always in toxic election and power-grabbing mode and has no time to develop and implement sound policies that take the nation forward, •A Govt whose Cabinet Ministers make donations to schools under their party banner instead of on a non-partisan basis, •A Govt where Cabinet Ministers spend more time politicking at their party rallies instead of performing the heavy lifting of running their portfolios on the basis of competence, excellence and international best practice, •A Govt that prioritizes party mobilization over uniting the nation on a shared, inspiring, vision for the future, *A Govt that subjugates the Constitution for narrow, parochial aims beyond the limits firmly established in the Constitution. 3. Kwamuri, this value-driven, people-centred approach may sound like “chidofo” but for us, it is the sort of accountability, ethical and competent leadership required to make Zimbabwe work for the many and not the few and make us a force to be reckoned with in the community of nations. We need new leaders.🇿🇼

#LetFreedomSing Narcissistic Digital Trespassers by Brian Tamuka Kagoro How many times has any of you posted personal reflections of any kind, and before you knew it , there were some trespassers demanding a huge amount of attention from you and these streets ? Years ago a friend of mine posted something very brief and its gist was that , 'If you insert yourself , your situation or country into someone else's social media posts , don't assume that it is that person's business to either accommodate or take you out . You decided to digitally tresspass on your own, and it is your responsibility to get the hell out or withstand the ' . I think that once you insert yourself rudely , mistakenly, or presumptuously into someone's social media posts , never assume that you're so important to merit a debate based on your presumption or foolishness Go and sleep after you have finished ventilating your toxicity and venting about a social media post that wasn't targeted at any one individual or person. First though, please understand that you have a big problem , a narcissistic disorder. That is why you assume that you are so all-important and that people must always be talking about you or your situation or condition. Chief , Boss , Bros, or Madam, people are busy out there, and they have lives to live that are not determined by your toxicity and pettiness
