There has been a miscommunications within our community, so I need to clarify this. Geung (กึง) is a recent slang on Thai internet. I heard that it comes from Isan language, but I’m not to sure about that. Etymology aside, Gay Geung (เกย์กึง) is the original usage. It means a male gay who conceals their sissy side and only portray masculinity—possibly even to conceal their gay or transwoman identity. Other slangs of the same meaning includes แอบจิต, เกย์แอ๊บแมน, etc. However, the meaning changes a little within short time span. We are talking just a few months here Geung (กึง) now stands alone. It means “to act cool”—smart, handsome, composed, that kind of cool. So what was being said here is that “Jack feels a bit like Joss” which Joss replies, “we are both geung”—meaning, Jack and Joss are both uptight, and act excessively cool despite situations While khun Ying made a mistake in the first time which I actually don’t think it should matter that much, she made a perfect explanation about geung (กึง) later. TL;DR Joss is not coming out.
