ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam 🔥🔥🔥
The ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam is featured in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, with Athrun Zala as its pilot.
As one of ZAFT's five Second Stage Series mobile suits, the Saviour Gundam surpassed the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior, ZAFT's mass-production MS in CE 73. This superiority was attributed to its shared basic performance with the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam and ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam. The Saviour Gundam's design focuses heavily on mobility, showcasing high aerial combat capabilities in MS mode with its two large wings. Additionally, it can transform into a mobile armor (MA) mode resembling a fighter aircraft, boasting faster cruising speed and acceleration.
The Saviour's head design is akin to that of the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam, featuring sensor-type equipment at the top. It is armed with a beam rifle, shield, two beam sabers, two CIWS guns, two machine guns, and a pair of beam and plasma beam cannons. Specializing in hit-and-run strikes by seamlessly combining its MS and MA modes, the Saviour Gundam possesses a battery replenishable during combat through the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System. It also features Variable Phase Shift armor, a unique type effective in space. Serving as the foundation for the Saviour Gundam is the ZGMF-YX21R Proto-Saviour, similar to the ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam.
Developed by ZAFT as part of the Second Stage Series in late CE 73, the Gundam Saviour was introduced due to the destruction of their previous Gundam models. The delayed development led to its absence during the theft of other Second Stage Series suits at Armory One. Chairman Gilbert Durandal assigned it to Athrun Zala, recently reinstated into ZAFT and appointed to the elite FAITH detachment after the "Break the World" incident.
Athrun, piloting the Saviour, returned to Earth following a clash with Orb forces and joined the Minerva battleship's crew. During various battles, Athrun utilized hit-and-run tactics, neutralizing threats such as the mobile armor YMAG-X7F Gells-Ghe and countering the Phantom Pain's ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam. The Saviour played a crucial role in aiding the ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam in disabling the ZGMF-X88S Gaia Gundam during the Lodonia Lab inquiry. Unfortunately, the Saviour Gundam suffered irreparable damage in a naval battle off the coast of Crete at the hands of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam.
In the realm of GunPla releases, the Saviour Gundam has received limited options, including a 1/144 no grade version in 2005, a High Grade Gundam SEED 1/144 also in 2005, and a 1/100 scale no grade released in 2006. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Master Grade and Real Grade versions.
