@RobertTalisse I generally agree with you, but I am a little ambivalent about it. As someone who's really good at time management, sometimes I do feel I am only good at it to cope with unrealistic expectations that are threatening to kill my intellectual creativity. See what I mean?

@JMKuukkanen @UniOulu @Nature The problem is that thinking + free discussion is not valued by the system; it's invisible work - even though it's the whole basis of research & teaching!

This is the challenge #1 in universities: "Researchers and other knowledge workers need to slow down and spend more time thinking, to focus on maintaining and improving quality in their work." @UniOulu soon chooses a new rector. This will be my question to candidates. @Nature
