Energy progress comes from options, innovation, and investment. From grid improvements to renewable energy, every source has a role to play. The goal is simple: more power, better access, and sustainable growth. #SolarPowerNigeria

After the training, participants were equipped with basic nursery tools and plantain suckers to support a smooth start at the small scale. We look forward to a strengthened circular economy and enhanced livelihoods in #Ondo as these champions begin their practices. #LocalAction

We were privileged to train over 140 community members from Ondo last week on sustainable plantain nursery management. Plantain is a key biodegradable alternative to plastic packaging promoted by the #PureWiseOndo project and supported by @GEF_SGP @sgpnigeria. #ReplacePlastic

This week, Solar Power Nigeria brought together energy reporters for a focused training on solar policy, energy access, and dialogue about the proposed import ban. This training was aimed at equipping journalists with the tools, data, and networks to report on one of the most consequential energy conversations in the country. #SolarPowerNigeria

Solar is not a luxury in #Nigeria, it’s a lifeline for homes, businesses, schools, and health centres. A blanket ban on solar panel imports at this stage risks deepening energy poverty, not solving it. Let’s get the sequence right: 1. Invest in local manufacturing 2.Strengthen supply chains & skills 3. Scale demand with supportive policies 3. Then transition gradually not abruptly Nigeria needs a phased strategy, not a shock to a sector already filling the electricity gap. The goal should be clear: energy access + local industry growth. #SolarPowerNigeria @PowerShftAfrica Thanks to @daily_trust: dailytrust.com/solar-is-best-…

The true cost of an immediate import ban isn't just financial, it's the lost opportunities for the next generation. Click the link in our bio to learn more and join the conversation in the comments below. #DelayTheBan #SolarPowerNigeria
