One of my more controversial opinions is that the rules around these people’s identities and sex lives are so insane and opaque and stringent that this book would probably be quite entertaining in the same way that novels dependent on Heian Period court etiquette must be.

We let a jewish twenty-two-year-old rewrite their constitution to put feminism in it and stationed black rapists that the Japanese had to kill and hide the bodies of. USG officials talk about bringing immigrants into Japan as a gift to the Japanese

The Japanese need to understand. The rest of the world is not like the Christian Americans who protected and helped them rebuild after WW2. The other nations of the world want to loot them. To take everything they have.

@ChevDeDeriq I have a thread with extracts from it in my drafts. It is not great on the whole to be honest, very much a product of the revisionist era (Desmond Williams was literally a British spook).

@novusolus Saint Simon of Trent and the pogroms and the daily recitations of the Birkat haMinim are bumpy little lumps of the texture in the rich pottage of Judeo-Christian Civilization which made the West great.

The Crucifixion really was a pivotal moment in Judeo-Christian Civilization.

I hate AI. It has broken my heart. If you do not hate it as I do, on some level I hate you, even if I have compartmentalised that hatred politely, and learned to file it away to the status of 'one some level', so no longer my prevailing attitude to you. x.com/turbarius/stat…
Irusan@turbarius

The fact that it cannot commit seppuku but conceivably could write things that might pass for the jisei of a samurai written before seppuku is why generative AI is a great existential problem.

The status quo the majority have acquiesced to is one in which no man will ever again be mistaken as divine for writing a song. I am an enemy of anyone who does see the destruction of genAI as a priority because my soul is closer to Homer than theirs. x.com/turbarius/stat…
Irusan@turbarius

So long as generative AI can produce music each melody no longer bears the presumption of being a glory to the human mind that wrote it. Remember that before AI we walked in a world we took for granted was ivied with the laurels of human minds in their great and small glory.

Ancient Greece and early medieval Ireland were archaic Aryan societies on the oriental and occidental ends of Europe whose long, controversial and mysterious links with the Semitic world would be worth a detailed comparison, but Hibernosemitica is alas a book yet to be written.

@turbarius My immediate theory here is that since the middle English letter 'yogh' diverged into both modern Y and GH, perhaps the scribe knew this and took the Nennian letter as a yogh rather than a Y.

@TheAutumnalFire You could write a entire book, volumes really(And already have been) on the global history of the British and counter insurgency. They've been everywhere, officially, as private actors "unofficially". from Sri Lanka to Kenya.

@shamansaban It was the precision of Guénon's prose which convinced me he was describing something real.

Iran bombed the Neot Havov industrial zone in Israel. There are 19 chemical factories there, including one belonging to Teva Pharmaceuticals, a major producer of HRT drugs and puberty blockers. There are reports of secondary explosions and hazardous chemical leaks.

@Caherconlis They seem to have eaten both. Moryson appears to mean wood sorrell here. In other contexts white clover is meant. The Irish were aslo very fond of water-cress, which is mentioned a lot in Old Irish texts.

Long and interesting article with a fascinatingly suggestive revelation at the end. Deborah Hayden, David Stifter, 'Ogam, cryptography and healing charms in the nineteenth century: observations on ‘The Minchin Manuscript’', PRIA Vol. 125C (2025), pp. 1–44.
