Occasionally yea, mostly numb to it now tho.
Aside from HL drop my size has gone up very incrementally over time. Got used to ‘x’ size so ‘x+10%’ didn’t feel crazy, repeat.
After the HL drop tho i actually traded quite poorly cause I (foolishly) adjusted my size too quickly to my new NW, kept opening positions too large for me mentally and then getting nervous whenever they went against me and closing them for a loss.

@0xMiaWallace Have this same problem rn. Find that I market too large cus of fomo and it burns me. Noticed you started twapping positions instead. Was this your fix for sizing/entering positions?

A small example: I always thought I rushed entries and entered too early, but it’s okay because I have my invalidation and can handle some red PNL.
Nope.
A friend noticed and told me I’m oversizing early, leading to micromanaging otherwise easy trades and getting burned, even though my plan was solid.
It’s simple, but it takes another perspective to clearly see your problems sometimes.

Callback to my first biweekly P&L post where I said I need to learn to cut losers faster and minimize bad trades.
Back then, my win rate was 80%; now it's 62.5%, but my P&L curve is much better.
It's crucial to cut losers fast.
Win small, win big, lose small. Never lose big.

Biweekly PnL Curve 48 wins out of 60 trades — 80% win rate (acc about 16% up). But the curve still doesn’t reflect that, and it’s clear why. The losses I take are way too big. I let them run, hoping they’ll turn, and it ends up erasing the gains from multiple solid trades. 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞. I need to learn how to cutting losers fast. No hesitation, no hoping. Just respect take the loss and move on. What’s tricky is I’m still not sure why I hold onto them. Maybe it’s ego, maybe it’s not fully processing that this is real money with real consequences. Outside of shorter term volatility I don’t believe the data released this week will have any lasting impact on the market.
The economy is in a solid spot, I’m not expecting any surprises. We have Trump saying ‘I expect a rate cut’.. the market doesn’t believe him so no rate cut = non event, rate cut = max risk on
We had $9b in BTC sales over an illiquid weekend and no Saylor TWAP into the market and we are back into range and consolidating
Take things slowly, don’t get fudded out during the chop, believe in the trend
