Coil may have been the most challenging record. I remember spending a fair amount of time meticulously doubling my guitar parts while tracking Coil, and the first thing the mixer we hired (Tom Lord-Alge) did was erase all my double parts, saying, “We don’t need those!” Then the record company for the first time was unhappy when we delivered, what we thought was the finished Coil. So we went back to the drawing board and wrote and recorded a few more songs (Throw it all Away, All Things In Time, and a new version of Crazy Life). This was the first and pretty much only time I can remember them trying to meddle in our music. But the record ended up being better for it. - Todd

This band from Atlanta, GA formed in 1985. ‘Fly Me Courageous’ was released in 1991 and reached #15 on the US Modern Rock chart and #19 on the US Mainstream Rock chart. 👉🏻 Name the band.
