As long as Tamil Nadu's right-wing minority continues to believe Annamalai is their saviour, we can rest assured that the BJP will never cross even 6-7% vote share. The rest of the BJP leaders have such poor calibre that a single-digit IQ man like Annamalai looks like a saviour to them. He can keep sitting with the likes of Sai Deepak and talking about Hindu renaissance, but that narrative struggles to gain traction in Tamil Nadu because Tamil Hindu identity is already deeply rooted and secure in its own cultural framework. It does not easily map onto a narrative of persecuted Hindus needing saving. Unlike regions where Hindutva fills a vacuum of cultural erosion or demographic anxiety, most Tamils across castes do not feel their Hindu practices are under existential threat requiring external renaissance framing. People here are already culturally Hindu and never needed to be made to feel like a targeted community that requires saving.

Criticism Ahead @CMOTamilnadu @TVKVijayHQ @ramk8060 @AadhavArjuna @arunraajkg @imrajmohan 1) No matter what, appointing an astrologer to that post is not acceptable. If he has expertise in other areas, those should have been highlighted earlier rather than astrology. Coming now and saying “Do you know who he is?” and all that won’t work. 2) Meeting the SPV and CVS groups purely for political camaraderie is fine. But if there is any agenda to make them join the party or the ministry, then it is a serious red flag. TVK stopped many people from joining earlier to maintain its clean image. If the purpose is to secure their votes during a floor test, then what is the deal behind it? Money exchange? No police action on their corruption cases? What exactly is it? 3) TASMAC closure — shutting down shops near schools and temples is fine. But why the one near the bus stand? Drinking and boarding a bus has almost become a common practice. If that is stopped, how will it work? — speaking as an ex-kudimagan, this irks me. Also, are you really sure there are only 700 TASMAC shops near temples and schools across Tamil Nadu? I doubt it. Can the government release the full list? 4) Meeting IUML was a great gesture. In fact, I would say it was the best among all the meetings. While many used them merely for votes, that inclusiveness shown here will be valued deeply. No matter what, never let Muslims down. They trusted Joseph. They usually do not trust outsiders easily. You have earned a trust that is very hard to gain. Preserve it as long as you hold the position. This should become the best tenure for Muslims in Tamil Nadu since Independence. 5) Meeting Thiruma and holding hands with him was the second-best moment after the IUML meeting. The image of both of you raising your hands together was a stunning moment in Indian politics. Scheduled Castes, Muslims, and Christians have been among the strongest resistors of Hindutva ideologies. You should stand with these three communities no matter what.

These convoys of @CMOTamilnadu looks bigger than the previous CM's Convoys. Any particular reason? The size has to come down for sure. I understand it is due to security protocols. But it looks more than usual. Also i feel he needs to seriously reconsider moving his house near secretariat. I hope he will not look at astrological reasons.
