GM CT it's a new week to lock in better after touching so much grass on the weekend more on my deposit history, I have gathered some points so far, just after 24 hours of my great first deposit, which is good, but I think there has to be a better way to stack more points to reach that 1 million points threshold(if used again for $FOLKS S2 drop) previously, I have mentioned looping, and I think I finally cracked it, so here is a quick guide through it let's say you leverage an asset like USDC on Folks Finance, like I did, and decide to loop with it the first conventional thing to do will be to check the LTV (loan-to-value) ratio on that particular asset for USDC on @FolksFinance, the LTV ratio is about 90%(60% example used in infographic) now, with this in mind, these will be the ideal steps to take: initial step: you deposit an initial $1,000 USDC your Borrowing Power: $900 case 1: you borrow the max, $900 USDC, and re-deposit it - your total supply: $1,900 - your total borrow: $900 - new borrowing power: $1,710 ($1,900 * 0.9) - $900 (debt) = $810 case 2(if you decide to loop again): you can now use that new borrowing power, you decide to borrow $300 and deposit it back - your total supply: $1,800 - your total borrow: $800 - your borrowing power: $1,080 ($1,800 * 0.6) - $800 (debt) = $280 so what's the goal of looping?? well the entire point of doing looping is to amplify your yield ideally, you are only earning interest on your net deposit (your initial $1,000), but you are often earning rewards (like bigger FOLKS points for S2) on your total supplied amount without looping: you earn supply APY + rewards on $1,000 with Looping (after Loop 2): You earn supply APY + rewards on $1,800 of course, this strategy is profitable only if the Supply APY (plus any rewards you get for supplying) is greater than the Borrow APR you are paying on your loan example: - Supply APY (with rewards): 10% - Borrow APR: 4%You are earning a net +6% on every dollar you've looped this strategy significantly boosts your points on the FOLKS S2 airdrop leaderboard and helps you achieve one million points quicker we do not know what threshold will be used this time around, so it's best to stay locked in have a nice one
