If you are engaging in #cognitivedissonance by intermittently wearing a respirator 😷 during this ongoing #SARS2 #pandemic, you are not as noble as you claim to be. Especially, if you post photos & videos of yourself w/o 😀 a respirator at events. Please be consistent. #MaskUp

🎒Joanna Teglund✊😷🍉Human life is sacred
In the 7th year of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, each person was infected ~5.2 times, infecting ~5.7 others each time, killing or hastening the deaths of ~30 people. Claiming that COVID kills is like claiming that Zyklon B killed in gas chambers, not the Nazis. Humans kill humans.

This is one of countless failed frames I've developed. Its pursuit of ultra-lightweight design resulted in insufficient support to hold the filter. It also failed to achieve an adjustable nose bridge. Next time, I'll release a near-perfect frame design.

Anyone who says "summers have always been like this" is lying. Night time averages are up. Day time averages are up. Highest temperatures are up. Lowest temperatures are up. Heatwaves are higher and cover more area. The deniers are liars.

We are not post Covid. That’s why these last few years have been so awful. That’s why there’s record sickness. That’s why people are dying at younger ages. That’s why you feel tired and crappy all the time. Denial doesn’t work. Covid never went away.

Please put aerosol scientists and engineers back in charge of public health. We built infectious disease policy around outdated droplet assumptions while ignoring aerosol physics, ventilation, and indoor air quality. If your infectious disease training still treats airborne transmission like a rare exception instead of a central mechanism, your curriculum is obsolete. Public health accreditation bodies should immediately reevaluate training standards for airborne disease prevention, ventilation, filtration, respirators, and aerosol science. Droplet dogma has already cost enough lives.

@alfwarrior Ebola is typically a micron in length, but very narrow so it will probably fold somewhat. An aerosol with an initial diameter of over 10 microns will remain suspended in the air for prolonged periods Fyi: I’m an aerosol scientist that studies airborne viruses and exhaled aerosol

I try to stay as professional as possible on here, but the recent spate of tweets I've seen bemoaning that 'things just haven't been the same since 2020' or similar and then utterly ignoring the ongoing impact of SARS-CoV-2 infuriates me. Denial and ignorance in equal measure.

Health Insurance in America is fucking bullshit. I love my country but FFS how can we claim to be the best in the World when we have people who have to choose between their medication and their bills or food. I have "great" private insurance and all of a sudden my specialty meds for my autoimmune diseases aren't completely covered and are hundreds of dollars. I will be fine, this isn't about me so please don't make suggestions. The average person in this country will have to go without. BTW a lot of people with autoimmune diseases need their biologics or they will not be able to work. I'm just so annoyed right now.
