@Keir_Starmer You are an absolute disgrace. You keep on bleating on about people wanted 'change' but not this sort of change! The sooner that you're gone the better for everyone.

@RachelReevesMP Why don't you help the British people who are suffering the extra costs of fuel, whilst this illegal war is going on in Iran?

Only way UK petrol could be cheaper would be if government tax didn’t account for 55% of every pound you spend on it! Your belief that even more government would make it cheaper is really rather quaint.

@afneil You’re being funny. US consumers are paying more for petroldespite massive US production. Only way UK oil could be cheap would be if fully nationalised!

@afneil The main reason that Rachel Reeves won't give you an interview Andrew, is because you'd tie her up in knots. And she'd just start blinking profusely, and then just start saying erm, um, erm, um, erm, um...

It is being reported that Chancellor Rachel Reeves will today argue for increasing alignment with European Union single market rules and greater development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Britain.
Who will tell her she can have one or the other — but not both?
While the UK is already the 3rd biggest AI power on the globe (after USA/China) the EU’s ‘prudential’ approach to regulation had already made it an AI backwater.
The EU will understandably not let us pick and mix when it comes to closer alignment, which would inevitably mean our AI development coming within the dead hand of the Brussels’ regulatory ambit.
She’d never give me an interview but perhaps someone from His Majesty’s Political Press Corps, which does have regular access to her, might like to mug up on this and ask her how these conflicting aims can be reconciled.

I am baffled as to why consistently behaving like a total prat is regarded as a sensible election strategy. I’ve never seen the thinking behind it explained The Lib Dems have more MPs than they’ve had for a long time. It’s a solid base on which to build, especially given Labour’s woes. But this is not the way to do it.

It is recognised that a minimum of 13 Post Masters committed suicide as a result of the Post Office scandal. This man has no shame and should not be in public office

@realDonaldTrump You better watch out for the guy on the grassy knoll...

@afneil All down to the wonderful David Cameron, and his 'Austerity' cuts from as early as 2010, and do you remember the 'Big Society' what a load of BS.

This is a remarkable table. It shows that to all intents and purposes the UK currently doesn’t have a navy it can deploy. It is a national scandal. But, of course, nobody — political or military — will be held accountable, much less sacked.

@PhilMyers53 🤣🤣 Starmer wishes he could throw a punch like that let alone take a couple of punches
Just wish it was true and not fake A.I.
That video of Starmer trying to punch the heavy bag was so embarrassing and that is before he opens his mouth

@afneil The Tories and Labour have completely diminished our armed forces. God help us if we are attacked or invaded.
English

Well there’s a surprise! Of course it can’t head into a theatre of war. The Royal Navy has zero surface ships to escort and protect it. We are incapable of forming a carrier group. It’s proving enough of a struggle to dispatch one destroyer to Cyprus!
