Day 4 of this hostage crisis and Wolf Blitzer just felt the need to tell us how many electoral votes are needed to win. Motherfucker I know the name of the registrar in Clark County, Nevada, how to pronounce every town in Georgia, and where every Republican in Arizona lives.

@atrupar One of the things I find fascinating about JD Vance is that out of all of his name changes, he has landed on JD, which of course is recollecting JD Salinger, who wrote the book The Catcher in the Rye, a well-known favorite among sociopathic murderers.

JD Vance: "One of the things I find fascinating about Pope Leo is he chose the name 'Leo XIV,' which of course is recollecting Leo XIII. Leo XIII was Pope during a time when incredible industrial transformation led to the rise of fascism and communism in Europe."

I need a good rec to sub out my Fairlife shake for because I cannot with $28 for a 12-pack. At that price I'm better off just buying Mich Ultras and working on my personality.

@COCAlNESDrSeuss @RainyNarnia @kevinbaum013 If you could buy a lottery ticket that you knew would win you $10 million, would you not buy it because it’s the “lazy way” of becoming a millionaire? No. Would you give a fuck if someone on the internet said so? Also no. This is fucking dumb.

@RainyNarnia @kevinbaum013 That is not the easy part, that's why we have an obesity epidemic. I'm not saying if people feel hopeless they shouldnt take it. Or if theyre using it for other reasons than appetite control. But pretending it is not the lazy way to lose weight for 99% of the people on it is dumb

@Law_Hawg @The_Shumater That was hardly a lecture, just an observation about the cost of higher education, which of course is where all of this conversation about public dollars in private schools started. Letting 529s be a pass through for private school tuition was the first crack.

@twooldridge @The_Shumater I do also appreciate the lecture from on high about how expensive college is since come next fall I’ll be adding a second college student to my household. It was very illuminating.

2 thoughts about Clarke Tucker's refusal to answer this question: 1) If he could answer no, there would be little reason not to do so & 2) a wealthy lawyer clutching at taxpayer money would illustrate all that's wrong with Gov. Sanders' vouchers scam. #Arkansas #arpx

ON BOARD THE GRAVY TRAIN? Arkansas Sen. Clarke Tucker, D-Little Rock, is refusing to tell his constituents if he’s now collecting the school voucher subsidies that he voted against, using the excuse that he doesn’t want to answer questions about his kids. #arpx #arleg #arnews

@Law_Hawg @The_Shumater I’m fine agreeing to disagree. But, imo his response is solid. Policy and personal decisions are two totally different things. The lege voted to raise salaries several years ago. Was it hypocritical for any nays (if there were any) to accept that pay bump?

@twooldridge @The_Shumater All that said, he’s not my legislator so maybe none of his constituents give a shit and neither should I. He’s not on my ballot one way or the other.

There is a bidet in this condo. My wife tells me it’s a fantastic experience. I’m just not sure I want a Super Soaker to the ole B-hole. I need some input.

@Law_Hawg @The_Shumater Nobody can accuse him of secretly being ambivalent on LEARNS. He was out front. And his time as a state legislature is limited, while his responsibility to his family is not. K-12 you're talking about $100k. That can be a college fund instead.

@Law_Hawg @The_Shumater I disagree that its a fair question. It's a question that gets asked only to insinuate Tucker should light $7200 on fire. It's not hypocritical for any of the private school parents I know who are anti-LEARNS to take vouchers. And there are a LOT. Tucker is no different.

@Law_Hawg @The_Shumater He didn't say he can't answer, he said he wasn't going to answer. I understand his prerogative. What is the relevance of the question? If the argument is that he should put his kids in public school, that's something else, and a tried and true (and tired) tag on Dems for always

@twooldridge @The_Shumater He should be able to answer a pretty simple question about whether or not he uses them, though. Might he have to explain why, considering his public position on them? Sure. That doesn’t mean it’s wrong but I think his constituents have a right to that basic information.

NEW: Arkansas head coach Ryan Silverfield tells @PeteNakos he's ready for the challenge🐗  "I don’t know, when we line up, how we even match up against Utah. I don’t know how we match up with Georgia in our first SEC game from a talent standpoint. So let’s be the best in the country in the controllables. Best in the country in attitude. Best in the country in effort — those things have nothing to do with talent. We’re going to harp on that all the time. Best in the country in how much film we study, and the execution and discipline." Story: on3.com/news/how-ryan-…

Finally listened to the NYT Interview of Tucker Carlson. He was repugnant and full of shit as expected, but also just very… unimpressive? He’s a terrible debater. One strawman after another. False equivalence. Goalpost moving. He got absolutely dogwalked.

@Timodc Resist Libs were hardly ever talking about foreign policy when they chanted THIS IS NOT NORMAL. It was mostly "democracy," mean tweets, white nationalism, pussy hat, etc. Point me to the anguished David Frum and Bill Kristol posts warning that Trump could do regime change in Iran

Dear Parents Please sit your children down and explain how Capitalism works, how we are the richest country in the world and that this is the land of opportunity. Democratic socialists like Sen Warren don't understand or believe how Gov't can assist or destroy the private sector
Yogi@Houseofyogi

Spirit Airlines died tonight at the hands of the socialist crusader, Elizabeth Warren She must be so proud to add another casket to her achievements. Tonight at 3am, Spirit turns off the lights. 14,000 jobs gone. 30+ smaller airports lose service. JetBlue offered $3.8 BILLION in cash to buy Spirit in 2022. Shareholders, flight attendants union, literally everyone voted yes. The combined company would have held 9% of the US market against a Big 4 that already owned 80%. For anyone who understands numbers: 9% isn’t a monopoly against 80%. Warren said no. She wrote letters. She pressured Buttigieg. Biden’s DOJ sued. A federal judge killed the deal in January 2024. Her argument: the merger would cost consumers $1 billion a year. Now look at her collateral damage she dusts under the rug. 510 pilots gone in the months after. 1,800 flight attendants furloughed in December. 14,000 jobs in 2023. 7,500 last week. Zero tonight. And that’s just the people in Spirit uniforms. Catering goes. Fuel guys go. Baggage crews, gate agents, airport coffee shops, hotels and rental cars in 70 cities Spirit flew to. Every airline job carries 3 more on its back. 40,000 people out of work because of one woman’s moronic crusade against the market. And the math ain’t mathing. Spirit abandoned 90 routes during the death spiral. Fares on those routes are up 14% on average. Oakland to Newark: $135 to $288. Fort Myers to San Juan: $92 to $219. Kansas City to Newark up 66%. That’s reality. Not some BS number from a “study.” So @SenWarren tell me how this saves the consumer money? Cheap carriers in a market drop fares 21% across the board. Southwest did this in the 90s and saved Americans $68 BILLION over 20 years. Warren killed it. That’s what moronic politicians led by socialism do. Then with her own blind arrogance, she tweeted Spirit’s collapse is “a Biden win for flyers.” A win. 14,000 people are reading termination letters tonight. And she’s taking credit. This is socialism in 2026. A senator who’s never made payroll thinks she knows how to run a market better than the people who own and work in the company. She saved you a billion on imaginary paper. She cost you ten times that in real life. She didn’t protect consumers from anything. 14,000+ will go from working to welfare. She will make sure to blame billionaires, hardworking tax payers, AI, capitalism and whatever monster they will make up tomorrow hiding under your bed. Higher taxes. Fewer jobs. More expensive everything. She called it a win. I hope you enjoy winning.
