People really need to understand the difference between weekend series and midweek games in college baseball. Especially on the pitching side. Teams like Tarleton will throw some of their best pitching in short waves in midweeks to try and get the road W against teams like Texas for the RPI hit, while teams like Texas are resting their top arms and resting catchers. Did I like losing to Tarleton? No Did I like the lineup looking completely lost at the plate? No Baseball happens sometimes. Better for it to happen during a midweek than during an SEC series when it will more than likely cost you a series.
