@ZakRLaw Absolutely. This whole “It’s the prompt not the AI” crap suggests that it doesn’t read 90% of Reddit to spit out its answers. If Reddit is a “large language model” we are absolutely SCREWED!

@tx_law Computer outputs are only as good as the inputs. As more slop gets input more slop will get output.

I think it is worth restating: Do your own verification, review the cases provided, and AI is simply a jumping off point. You must still perform competent legal research on the positions you assert in court filings.

@tx_law I was actually infuriated, because we had paralegals doing that document review and they should never have been put in the position of having to see those images. Images of his penis weren’t responsive, ya know?

I had a case when I first went solo that required hours (HOURS!!!!!!) of redactions on very explicit texts and images from ONLY THE DEFENDANT. It was brutal. It was a civil dispute. So, if you don’t think civil litigation is insane, let me tell you… hahaha

In 2016-2017 before I went to law school, I decided to read a bunch of supreme court opinions, follow the court, and fell back into the history of early American history. But to provide any kind of opinion on anything after Nov. 2015, either *for or against YOU, the reader now* is an act of war. And that has blatantly restricted any discussion, one way or another, to even engage with any truly interesting topics of the day.
