Continuity has always been a core value of primary care - but are we becoming careless about it? 🩺🤝 The authors reflect on how team-based models, part-time work and rising demand have transformed general practice, making it harder for patients to see “their” doctor over time. They draw on new research showing that when fewer patients see their preferred GP, written complaints rise markedly, even when needs appear to be met. This suggests that patients value not only access and coordination, but also a sustained personal relationship with a clinician they know and trust.
