@BigCraigger @landon707 I like the steel. Cheaper and work well. Usually get two season out of them which is about what we get out of openers. Replace them all at the same time.

DB60 planter here, when you’re replacing the opener disc scrapers are the tungsten ones worth it? Do they last a lot longer than the regular steel scraper? Anyone with actual experience with them?

Crazy as it is to say on 3/19. It’s time to plant corn, I don’t care if it’s 2 weeks early

How comfortable would you be with buying a 21-24 Chevy/GMC with the 6.2 motor? Wife needs a new vehicle and I really don’t want to buy a brand new one. Reposts appreciated.

@gavin_spoor Our springs are usually wet and we often plant on the edge of the mud. Couldn’t stand the NT design with wheels in between row units - always the first the take on mud in borderline conditions. DB center section also floats better.

@Goeun_6121 @KobeissiLetter Of course farm land disappears. It goes from production to houses, commercial buildings, concrete, solar panels, data centers, etc. I farm next to an encroaching urban area that is losing farm land every day.

farms arent disappearing. small farms are. the land doesnt vanish. it consolidates up into fewer hands. 1.87 million operations, but the top few percent run the majority of acreage. thats not decline. thats the same K-shape playing out in agriculture. bankruptcy filings up 36% just means the transfer is accelerating.

US farms are disappearing at an alarming rate: The number of US farms fell -15,000 YoY in 2025, to 1.87 million, the lowest since the 1850s. This marks the 3rd annual decline and the 6th over the last 7 years. Over this period, the number of farms has dropped -158,200, or -8%. At the same time, total farmland has fallen -24.9 million acres, to 874 million, the lowest since the 1910s. Meanwhile, farm bankruptcy filings surged +36% YoY, to 293 in the first 9 months of 2025. US farms are in a long-term decline.

@gwiesefarms @KellyGarrett75 It may be happening to show the banker in order to get financed but it’s not happening based on real world market values.

@KellyGarrett75 I have had multiple farmers increase equipment values this year. It was just more common in 2022, but still happening today!

I have assigned one of my Pantheon agents its first task. I want it to help review the first AI on Your Farm Course videos, along with the chat and Q&A transcripts. Its goal is to give me recommendations on how we should deliver the second cohort of the class. I'll report back on it's findings!

This should probably be a paid course. It’s basically my full @Lovable workflow. I spent weeks recording this. 10 modules covering everything: → Planning inside ChatGPT/Claude → Building the entire frontend and backend → Adding AI features → Stripe payments → Deploying to production The same workflow I've refined after shipping 40+ SaaS for clients and refined after teaching 650+ builders. If you stick to this, you will be able to ship your SaaS in the next 10 days. I promise you that. Comment “LOVABLE” and I will DM you the link.

@AaronBobeck Love Claude. I don’t do much coding via terminal so I use Bolt and Lovable which both have the option to use Claude opus for coding. I use Claude browser for developing ideas, concentrating them down and building out the PRD

Best workflow for building out an app or feature. Tell your LLM you want to create a PRD for a new app or feature and then give it your full idea. Then have it ask you any clarifying questions, and finally, build you a visual pitch on it. I gave Claude my idea, it asked my 38 clarifying questions and then built me this visual. Proactive build vs. reactive.

@5150Farms That’s fine. Some people are making money today at $4 while others are losing at $4. To me, the differentiator is management.
