🚨#BREAKING I have obtained horrifying footage from the AC Reynolds High School "ICE OUT!" protest here in Asheville NC.
It appears that not a single adult was with the children when they BOLTED out of classes and into the middle of a 4-lane highway.
This is beyond dangerous and absolutely terrifying to watch as a parent.
Many of the signs are professionally made, they were screaming curse words at drivers, waiving foreign flags, even the signs had curse words on them.
This absolutely must be investigated.
Who is funding this?
Who allowed 200 children to leave school in the middle of the day and run INTO A HIGHWAY to scream at motorists?
This is CLEARLY well funded and CLEARLY supported by the staff from TOP TO BOTTOM in Asheville NC...

the final letter has arrived: I have been awarded tenure. I am so stunned & grateful. my journey in academia has been long & at times arduous, but in this moment I feel joy &, shockingly, pride. I really did it. dare I say I earned it. & I look forward to doing the work that matters to me from this moment on.

I’ve learned from working in an elementary school that when a child asks your age, always tell them to guess. Anyway, the 2nd grader who told me he thought I was 27 is my new favorite student.

super embarrassed to say I’m just two days sober after getting over two years of continuous sobriety but if it was any other alcoholic I’d be cheering for them so—go me.
I truly am rooting for everyone trying to start anew this year, for any amount of time. alcoholic or not.

hello friends. this is a difficult post to write but during my mental health crisis I relapsed & drank. I didn’t think I’d be alive in the morning, so it didn’t matter. but here I am, starting again. recovery is not linear. my two years still stands—I simply continue the work.

hi all—I’ll be leaving this up for 24 hours before deactivating my account. I’m safe & getting care.
I want to say that the reason people struggling with suicidal ideation don’t speak up is because people do things like call the cops on them & write their husbands, as is what happened to me yesterday. this is not the way, & I regret reaching out for help here. I will be writing an article about this in the future. thanks to those of you who reached out to me directly, though. it meant the world.
