This guy thinks bc his family put down money for the Beltline he gets more of a say than the 100k+ Atlantans that voted on the More MARTA referendum, pay taxes, & live & work here each day. We need to stop letting corporate billionaires run our city or nothing will ever change.

3 of these neighborhoods he mentions are in my district and (esp o4w) have been heavily gentrified thanks to the way the Beltline has been carried out. What has driven the development of the Beltline is profit motive: high end retail & dining — not investment for the public good.

Let me tell you how this plays out: She’s his domestic partner (they’re not married). He has a will and leaves house to his kids. They kick her out. Now she has to enter today’s brutal housing market where rents are sky high. She’s 76. This is exactly how homelessness starts.
