But like... what if FAU is actually serviceable this year..? This was the last time we saw him in a game, and he is in a contract year. I see him not being a starter but part of the rotation.

Go get fit. If you’re in the KC area I do a lot out of Edwin, free to fit. But you can use all the help you can so I’d go see what works best and let them guide you.

I know it was frustrating not seeing Jermod McCoy at the combine but I think he absolutely made the right decision. He trained, got back to full health, and then tested when he and his team knew he would be fully ready to go. He crushed it today!

If the Chiefs grab a starting DE in FA, go Downs at 9 and CB at 29. If they grab a starting CB in FA, go DE at 9 and S at 29. A lot could change, but that’s what I’d like to see now. I’d imagine they address one of those 3 positions in FA and then draft the other two in the first round depending on how the board falls.

These days, a lot of development also relies on the player throughout the offseason, not just the coaching staff.
Betting on the 20 year old with outstanding football character and work ethic seems like a worthy swing.

@kent_swanson Id be fine with at 29 but still have no faith in this coaching staff to develop his pass rush. Most of their guys with "potential" dont really improve their pass rush once they are here.
