It’s actually pretty cool what they’ve built at @coolifyio , so we implemented it as a one-click install for VPSs.

This Dutch 🇳🇱 startup just raised €1 million to fight payment fraud. And they’re going after a $132 billion problem 🤯 Last summer, professional hockey player Boris Burkhardt and Stein van Maasakker launched Guzco to help e-commerce companies automate disputed payment claims using AI. Think: • “My package never arrived” • Chargebacks • Klarna disputes • Friendly fraud A massive and growing problem in e-commerce. Mastercard estimates that first-party fraud, where consumers dispute legitimate transactions or falsely claim non-delivery, now represents a $132 billion 🤯 annual risk to global e-commerce, and is the fastest-growing fraud category worldwide. For a typical European merchant, disputes and friendly fraud account for 1 to 3 percent of revenue, depending on the category and payment mix. The startup already works with names like Mollie, MultiSafepay, and PostNL. And now Arches Capital is backing the company with a €1 million pre-seed round to expand across Europe. What’s especially interesting is the timing. Today, only part of online payments can easily be disputed through credit cards and BNPL providers. But with account-to-account payment systems like Wero rolling out across Europe, the number of disputed payment claims could explode in the coming years. Which means fraud prevention and dispute automation may become one of the most important infrastructure layers in European commerce. Not bad for a startup that’s not even one year old yet 😉
