Don’t think this is a hot take anymore, but: Acuff has the lowest floor of any of the top draft prospects. He also potentially has the highest offensive ceiling. If I’m a GM secure in my job, I think about taking him 2-3. If I’m not secure, I understand taking the high floor guys. Either way, excited we get to watch him at least one more time. (And disappointed that we don’t get to see AJ.)

If Ngongba is capable of playing, he must. If they were holding him out as a precaution, that must end. Duke’s messaging through this situation has been disappointing. The injury transparency, which used to be non-existent, had improved a lot in recent years. Can’t revert back.

Let me say what I think about some people demanding more info about Patrick Ngongba II's injury and status. Just try to remember that Jon Scheyer is probably controlling/limiting the narrative very wisely with certain goals in mind. One, it makes it harder for opponents to prepare for Duke. Two, he's trying to protect Ngongba's medical information and stock as a pro prospect; I mean, they are humans, just like us. Three, to build on that, realize that the specifics are not really any of our business if the staff and player don't want it to be, and we just have to be understanding of that. Period. That said, I too really hope Ngongba is back in action tomorrow and the rest of the way! Duke needs him!🙏 But we don't know everything, and you just have to be OK with that, in my opinion.
