@tylrbrkr Yeah, many languages state that they have pattern matching, but it’s usually unergonomic compared to Erlang/Elixir. To the extent that I wouldn’t consider it pattern matching. The BEAM is a powerful platform, only thing missing is make it go brrrr on number crunching.

Maybe the most amazing thing about Elixir to me pattern matching on binaries. Parsing a WAV file is almost as simple as writing down the file spec verbatim - look at this! #elixirlang
