@horrifichymns Like in the beginning of ep 8 they actually began to accept the reality of never getting out. What would be the point of the whole Caine crash out thing then? Why put them through additional torment for them to end up exactly where they were before?

People think it takes away the weight from the story but I really don’t think it is. There is nothing more crushing than finding out you aren’t technically your “real” self, and your “real” self gets to live their life while you’re stuck there because they put themselves in

I really don’t see how the digital circus members could be actually hooked up to some physical machine and are literally trapped there with rotting bodies. they are definitely just digital copies and there is no saving. Real pomni is probably still being an accountant somewhere

@horrifichymns I also thought that the idea that they’re just brain scans and there’s no way out is the most plausible explanation. But then I don’t really see the point of ep 8 for the show to en on ep 7 v2 but just a little more soul crushing.

@erensdeadmilf @_Escrevedori I didn’t even say that I like the idea of Jax sacrificing himself. It’s just that there must be more to him than just getting over his own issues. Pomni is the main because she pushes the plot forward and the main idea being resolving their stuck-in-the-circus problem.

@tynlis @_Escrevedori but why does that mean he has to sacrifice himself? his arc requires the most attention=main character. he’s got more shit to work on than the others

Jax sacrifice theories are starting and i have multiple reasons on why i think it would be a really bad choice that i could make a entire thread

There must be sth to him that will be relevant and significant in a positive way. He’s the second main character after all.

@riverfloret @OL_Thomas_ Yeah. That would be pretty funny at first but that would essentially mean the whole show is just one big prank. Nonetheless I would respect the commitment.

@OL_Thomas_ I feel like if it ended like this it would be one of the worst endings in history, not only is it unsatisfying, it makes all of the events and foreshadowing leading up to this moment feel like it was for nothing, but it’s scary that there’s a slight chance this could happen
